This is an update on the status of elite corps for July 2025. Many corps have been formed (20 is expected), we are focusing on the elite corps likely to participate in offensive and counter-offensive operations. More details can be found at MilitaryLand.net, please support them if you can.
The 1st National Guard Corps is based on the 12th Operational Brigade Azov and will be called Azov. The corps has a new insignia. The assignment of combat brigades are complete. The brigades assigned are the 1st Bureviy Operational Brigade, the 14th Chervona Kalyna Operational Brigade, the 20th Lyubart Operational Brigade, the 12th Azov Special Purpose Brigade, and the 15th Kara-Dag Operational Brigade.
The 2nd National Guard Corps is based on the 13th Operational Brigade Khatia and will be called Khartia. The corps insignia is the same as the 13th Operational Brigade. The assignment of combat brigades are complete. The brigades assigned are the 3rd Spartan Operational Brigade, the 4th Rubizh Operational Brigade, the 13th Khartia Operational Brigade, the 17th Separate Poltavska Brigade, and the 18th Slovyansk Brigade.
The 3rd Army Corps is based on the 3rd Assault Brigade. No specific name has been given to the corps. One source (Reporting from Ukraine) implies that the assignment of combat brigades are complete. UVD can only confirm one combat brigade assigned to the 3rd Army Corps apart from the 3rd Assault Brigade. This brigade is the 60th Mechanised Brigade. The 16th Army Corps is based on the 92nd Assault Brigade and no specific name is confirmed but will be based in Kharkiv and is referred to as Khariv’s brigade by Militaryland.net. The corps has a new insignia. The assignment of combat brigades are complete. The brigades assigned are the 3rd Tank Brigade, the 42nd Mechanised Brigade, the 57th Motorised Brigade, the 58th Motorised Brigade, the 92nd Assault Brigade, and the 113th territorial Defense Brigade. The 91st Anti-Tank Battalion (not shown) is also included according to https://militaryland.net.
The 7th Rapid Response Corps has a separate insignia and has been restructured. The assignment of combat brigades are complete. The brigades assigned are the 25th Airborne Brigade, the 77th Airmobile Brigade, the 79th Air Assault Brigade, and the 81st Airmobile Brigade. The 78th Air Assault Regiment is also included and may be scaled up to a Brigade. Four Brigades were reassigned to the 8th Air Assault Corps.
The 8th Air Assault Corps has been created and the insignia has been confirmed. This corps was not in the initial list but was needed as there were more air assault brigades not assigned to a combat corps. The assignment of combat brigades are complete. The brigades assigned are the 46th Airmobile Brigade, the 71st Jaeger Brigade, the 80th Air Assault Brigade, 82nd Air Assault Brigade, and the 95th Air Assault Brigade.
The 30th Marine Corps has been created, and the insignia has been confirmed. The assignment of combat brigades are complete. The brigades assigned are the 35th Marine Brigade, the 36th Marine Brigade, the 37th Marine Brigade, and the 38th Marine Brigade. The 30th Marine corps also includes the 32nd and 406th Artillery brigades (not shown).
Other Corps under consideration as Offensive Corps
The 9th Amry Corps contains the 47th Mechanised Brigade and seven other brigades for a total of 8 combat brigades. One brigade is a tank brigade and another brigade is a heavy mechanised brigade. The remaining brigades are all mechanised brigades. The 9th army corps has the largest number of combat brigades in any corps, all of them at least mechanised.
The 20TH Army Corps includes three veteran mechanised brigades (17th, 23rd, and 33rd) with a total of 5 mechanised brigades, one of them a heavy mechanised brigade.
